This is something often discussed among the Electric Universe crowd and it very much fits with how I see all of our weather working.
Weather effects are driven by electric current. A twisting tornado is nothing more than a contra-rotating Birkeland current for example. The reason that water, which is about 400 times heavier than air, can defy apparent gravity to rise into the sky and form clouds, is that the evaporated water is charged and the repulsive electro-magnetic force is vastly more powerful than apparent gravity. The toggling of this charged state of water molecules is what triggers rain, and rain can hold a lot of energy which is why rainwater is always superior to tap water when it comes to plants (even before considering the Nitrates).
But it is not just current flowing through the atmosphere and Earth causing our weather and seismic activity. The Hydrogen ions that are hurled off the Sun during it’s Coronal Mass Ejections (usually at a scale that dwarfs the Earth) often collide with Oxygen in our upper atmosphere creating water - this new mass from the Sun merges with the other water vapour in our atmosphere.
It is the combination of increased current from the Sun (which we observe with much increased auroral activity on Earth and significant atmospheric changes on the other planets of the Solar System as well) making our storms far more electrically charged (the new observations of Gamma lightning) and containing great quantities of rain that falls very heavily leading to frequent landslides and prolonged floods.
I believe this may be why storm Milton has suddenly become such a monster hurricane and it correlates well with the X7 and X9 Solar Flares we had a few days ago.
